The Office of the East Kingdom Tyger Clerk of the Signet would not run as smoothly without the assistance of many deputies. At this time I would like to publicly thank both Mistress Carolyne de la Pointe, Northern Deputy-Clerk, and Lady Margaret Twygge, Tir Mara Deputy-Clerk, for their strong support and service in these past two and a half years. Populace War Points
This year there were three different war point shoots in which ALL archers could participate. This has been the case for many years, although the presentation, scoring and numbers of attempts differ. The populace shooting was offered Sunday through Thursday, so archers had five opportunities to shoot each of the three war point shoots. Before the week of shooting began, it was also ruled that archers did not have to do each attempt on separate days — they could make their own schedules and even shoot all fifteen parts on the same day if they wished to. This made it much easier for busy folk with many obligations to still make significant contributions to the war effort. (more…)
