Pennsic War (Officially) Begins

On Saturday evening, despite the intermittent rain, the 42nd annual Pennsic War was officially declared, as delegations from all 19 SCA Kingdoms, plus the Kingdom of Acre and the Great Dark Horde, declared if they would fight with the forces of the East or the forces of the Middle. (more…)

Champions Battles fought at Pennsic 42

P42AlliedChampions Starting at 10 am this morning, the Pennsic Battlefield saw the annual Champions battles fought.

The first battle scheduled was the Allied Champions battle, in which all Kingdoms attending Pennsic, except the East and the Middle, selected 80 fighters per side to fight a 1 hour resurrection battle. Sir Tanaka Raiko, reporting for the Gazette, has let us know that in “the allied champions battle…our side is dominating.” More information about the Allied Champons battle is available online here from the Pennsic Independent.
