Unofficial court report – BBM/Bergental Yule
On an unseasonably warm Fall day, Their Majesties Brennan Ri and Caoilfhionn Banri, along with Their Highnesses Kenric and Avelina, did visit the Barony Beyond the Mountain, and attended the BBM/Bergental Yule. Five December 2015, AS L.
At the start of the day Their Majesties did open a court. There, they called before them the Baron and Baroness of Barony Beyond the Mountain. Their Excellencies were presented with their new Baronial coronets.
Next they called forth Nadia Hart. She was made a Lady of the Court, and Awarded Arms. She received a scroll with calligraphy by Constance de St. Denis and illumination by Marie Heather Hall.
Their Majesties called before them Isabeau d’Orleans. Speaking of her many accomplishments, Their Majesties did send her on vigil to contemplate elevation to the Order of the Laurel.
Not yet finished, Their Majesties invited before them Cassandra Grey of Lochleven. They also placed her on vigil to contemplate elevation to the Order of the Laurel.
The vigilantes still not complete, Brennan and Caoilfhionn invited Pakshalika Kananbala into court. She was placed on Vigil to contemplate elevation to the Order of the Laurel.
Thus was the court of Their Majesties suspended until afternoon.
After a day of many activities for all, Their Majesties once more opened their court.
First, they invited Their Excellencies from Beyond the Mountain to hold court. That done, they next invited Their Excellencies from Bergantal to hold court. Their courts complete, Their Majesties once more began their business.
Brennan and Caoilfhionn invited into court the Baron and Baroness from Barony Beyond the Mountain. Their Excellencies gave fealty to the crown.
Next was Michaela Intemann invited into court. Despite her youth, her service was much appreciated. Their Majesties named her a Page of the Court, and inducted her into the Order of the Tyger’s Cub. Michaela received a medallion, and a scroll by Vettorio Antonello.
The Children in attendance were called forth. As is the custom, they chased the toy box to the delight of all.
Their Majesties called into their court Eydis Thorgrimsdottir. To the surprise of all, not one but two ladies did present themselves. His Majesty took it upon himself to determine which of these gentles was expected, and though he quizzed them no clarity was achieved, much to the amusement of all. At last, mention of a fruitcake class did produce the Eydis Thorgrimsdottir sought. The other Eydis Thorgrimsdottir was presented a ring from the King’s hand to remember the unusual occurrence.
The Eydis Thorgrimsdottir whom had been sought by the Crown was made a Lady of the Court, and Awarded Arms. She received a scroll by Elisenda de Luna.
Their Majesties invited into their court Joel of Vestfell. They spoke of his many services to the Kingdom, and called forth the Order of the Silver Crescent. Joel was inducted into the order, and presented with a medallion.
Brennan and Caoilfhionn invited before them Marieta Charay. For her service to the Crown they made her a Baroness of the Court, Granting her Arms. She received a coronet and a scroll with calligraphy and words by þóra Eiríksdóttir and illumination by Æsa feilinn Jossursdottir.
Their Majesties called into court Eric Michaelson. Though only a teen, they spoke of his long service to the East, and made him a Lord of their Court. Eric was Awarded Arms, and received a scroll featuring calligraphy and illumination by Rhonwen glyn conwy and words by Alopex.
Once more Brennan and Caoilfhionn invited into their court Pakshalika Kananbala, to have her answer to the question she’d been posed in the morning. She agreed to be elevated to the Order of the Laurel, and the companions were called to attend the court. After words from the Peers were heard, Pakshalika received regalia, was elevated to the Order and given a scroll by Heather Rose DeGordoun.
Otto Gottlieb was invited before the court of Their Majesties. His skill and service to archery spoken highly of, Brennan and Caoilfhionn called before them the companions of their Order of the Sagitarius. Otto received a medallion and a stone by Randall Vihar Farkas & Camma an Daraich with words from Fiana of Clare.
The Order not yet complete, Their Majesties called forth Deormund Wulfscyld. He was elevated to the Order, and received a medallion and a scroll with illumination by Adrienne d’Evreaux and calligraphy by Alexander St. Pierre.
The Order of the Sagitarius still incomplete, Brennan and Caoilfhionn invited into their court þóra Eiríksdóttir. They inducted her into the Order, presenting her with a medallion and a stained glass by Solskinn of Smoking Rocks with words by Nest verch Tangwistel.
Their Majesties called into their court Christopher Michaelson. Though a teen, his service was noted and he was made a Lord of the Court, and Awarded Arms. Christopher received a scroll featuring calligraphy and illumination by Marieta Charay and words by Alopex.
Once more, Brennan and Caoilfhionn invited into court Isabeau d’Orleans. She answered the question put before her in the affirmative, and they called into court the companions of the Order of the Laurel. After words from Peers of the Realm, Isabeau was presented with regalia, elevated to the Order and presented and a scroll by Eloise of Coulter.
Their Majesties invited into Their Court Gabriella Bas Sera. Her skill and service to the arts made note of, the companions of the Order of the Maunche were called into court. Gabriella was inducted into the order, presented with a medallion and a scroll by Vettorio Antonello.
Next Their Majesties called into court Eithne Inghean Mael Duin. She was escorted by her husband, Þórormr Barnakarl, who was asked to remain before Their Majesties as well.
Eithne was made a Lady of the Court, and was Awarded Arms, receiving a scroll by Eleanore MacCarthaigh with words by Nest verch Tangwistel.
Their Majesties next made it clear why they invited Þórormr Barnakarl to remain before them. He was Awarded Arms and made a Lord of the Court, receiving a wood burned scroll by Aleksei Dmitriev with words by Tommaltach MacFhiachach.
Once more Brennan and Caoilfhionn called into their court Cassandra Grey of Lochleven. They had her answer to the question they had put before her in the morning. She answered with a yes, and the companions of the Order of the Laurel were invited into Court. After words from Peers of the Realm, Cassandra received regalia, was elevated to the Order and presented with a scroll by Nest verch Tangwistel.
Thus concluded the Court of Brennan Ri and Caoilfhionn Banri, Queen and Queen of the East. Long live the King and Queen! Long live the Prince and Princess! Long live the Kingdom of the East!
