A&S Class this Wed: Overview of French Fencing & Dueling Culture

The MoAS office is offering a class on its Zoom account this Wednesday at 7:00pm.
The Master Players & Fencers: Overview of French Fencing & Dueling Culture During the 16th & 17th Century,
Instructor= Maréchal Remy Delamontagne de Gascogne.
This hour-long lecture will give a detailed overview of how the French approached fencing and dueling from the mid-16th through 17th centuries. The class will explore the creation of the Parisian fencing masters guild, the requirements to become a Maistres Joueurs or Maistres d’Armes, what it was like inside a French fencing salle, French dueling culture, the evolution of the “French school,” and more.
