EK Tyger Camp- A Youth Initiative
Greetings Unto the Populace of the Glorious East Kingdom,
Calling on all Artisans, historians, and doers of cool medieval things, we need your help!
Several Youth Officers, Chancellor Minors and I have embarked on an exciting new journey and would like to invite any of you who are interested to join us on a new initiative we are working on. We are calling this initiative EK Tyger Camp.
EK Tyger Camp will be a dynamic website aimed at the Youth of our Kingdom that will be a repository of SCA activities for Youth and families. We are hoping this will give our Youth a way to stay engaged even while we are unable to meet in person.
We are in search of content and lessons for this site. We are looking for both written content, things like instruction sheets, recipes, etc., that will be posted as downloadable PDFs, and videos, stories, bardic, and how-to videos. If you are submitting a video, or if your written content includes any pictures, please make sure everyone appearing in them has completed the media release form, https://docs.google.com/forms/ d/e/1FAIpQLSdhPX7VfCS5faYMKoh- -SKjDhpnh- 8FWpEDPgWtTOQ7kVkzTQ/viewform
Our Kingdom’s Youth are dynamic, inquisitive, and interested in a variety of things. We look forward to sharing your SCA passions, whether it is in the form of aa lesson on how to conduct research, how to tune a harp, plant identifications, cooking demonstrations, history lessons, how to make youth armor, practice videos for Youth combatants and fencers, introductions to heraldry, how to create a persona, or how to create beautiful things. Whatever you do, we want to share it so our Youth can continue to grow and thrive.
You can send all submissions to me at Chancellor-Minor@EastKingdom. org
Submissions, whether video or written should include a list of materials needed, and a designation of skill level: beginner, intermediate, advanced, or all audiences.
Please submit only your own work.
All content will be reviewed by a Youth Officer before being posted to the website.
We are hoping to launch during the first week of August, but will be adding new content as time goes on.
Thank you so much for your support of this initiative! I truly believe the EK Tyger Camp will be an incredible resource for families looking for fun ways to stay engaged in our new normal.
Together we can do great things!
In Service to the Dream,
Hugoline the Delicate of House Three Skulls
East Kingdom Chancellor of Minors
