Unofficial Court Report: K&Q A&S and Bardic Champs
Ivan and Matilde, Tsar and Tsaritsa of the Kingdom of the East, did visit their Crown Province of Ostgardr on February 10, 2018, AS LII. While in the fair Crown Province, they did hold both the King’s and Queen’s Arts and Sciences Competition AND the King’s and Queen’s Bardic Competition.
Before the competitions could begin, however, Their Majesties called forth Raziya bint Rusa and Muin Maqq Minain, both of whom had previously received writs, to sit vigil in contemplation for elevation to the Order of the Laurel.
Cedric of Armorica was called into court. Their Majesties did name him the new Deputy Earl Marshal for Armored Combat, and received his fealty.
Tsar Ivan and Tsaritsa Matilde suspended their court.
There were fierce bardic competitors, as well as many of the best artisans in the Kingdom competing. At the conclusion of the day, Their Majesties held conference with their outgoing Champions, as well as the judges, and decided who would be named to be the new King’s and Queen’s champions.
Thus was court re-opened. His Majesty began by calling forth his current Arts and Sciences Champion, Raziya bint Rusa. He thanked her for her service, and took from her the regalia of her station. Next did Tsar Ivan name his new Champion of Arts and Sciences, Elena Hylton. She attended the court, receiving the regalia and a scroll by Shoshana Gryffyth with a font by Sarah the Lymner.
Her Majesty called forth her current Arts and Sciences Champion, Sofya Gianetta di Trieste. She thanked her for her service, and took from her the regalia of her station. Next did Tsaritsa Matilde name her new Champion of Arts and Sciences, Doroga Voronin. He attended the court, receiving the regalia and a scroll by Shoshana Gryffyth with a font by Sarah the Lymner.
The Lady of the Northern Shores, Courtney Rose, did wish to see Eva Woderose. Courtney spoke of her appreciation for Eva’s Arts and Sciences entry, and presented her with a favor. Vivants followed.
Next did Tsar Ivan call forth his Bardic Champion, Chatricam Meghanta. He thanked her for her service, and took from her the regalia of her station. Then did his Majesty call forth Juliana Bird, naming her his new King’s Bardic Champion. She attended the court, and was presented with the regalia, and a scroll by Millicent Rowan with words by Chatricam Meghanta.
Next did Tsaritsa Matilde call forth her Bardic Champion, Sabine de Kerbriants. He thanked her for her service, and took from her the regalia of her station. Then did her Majesty call forth Geoffrey of Exeter, naming him her new Queen’s Bardic Champion. He attended the court, and was presented with the regalia, and a scroll by Millicent Rowan with words by Sabine de Kerbriant.
With the new champions of Arts and Sciences and Bardic named, their Majesties Ivan and Matilde did continue their court.
Their Majesties invited the children in attendance to come forward. Nataliia Anastasiia Evgenova volunteered to be the sacrificial lamb, and took the toy box and the children for a run, much to the delight of all.
