UNOFFICIAL COURT REPORT: TWELFTH NIGHT
It should be altogether clear by the present public instrument that, upon the Feast of Twelfth Night, on Saturday 5 January in the forty-seventh year of the Society in the Barony of Iron Bog, where and when the most excellent prince and lord Edward, King of the East, and Thyra, his queen, sitting in their full court with witnesses and me, the herald written below, being personally present in the presence of the said king and queen, conducted the following business:
Item. Cormac Mor, Crescent Principal Herald of Caid, and Jeanne Marie Dolphin, herald of Caid, presented gifts and words from the Crown of Caid to Their Majesties.
Item. Their Majesties accepted the renewed oath of service of Mistress Kayleigh McWhyte as Tyger Clerk of the Signet.
Item. Their Majesties accepted the oath of Sir Oskgar of the Wood as Earl Marshal.
Item. Master Godric of Hamtun, Captain-General of Archers, appeared before Their Majesties and attested that Mistress Jehannine de Flandres had achieved the rank of Grand Master Bowman by shooting a Royal Round average of 100.67; the said Jehannine was then presented with a medallion and document in commemoration of same, the which document was prepared by Edward MacGyver dos Scorpos.
Item. Master Godric of Hamtun, Captain-General of Archers, attested to Their Majesties that Lord Þórlæifr hvítskegg had achieved the rank of Grand Master Bowman by shooting a Royal Round average of 101.67; the said Þórlæifr was then presented with a medallion and a document in commemoration of same, the which document was written by Alys Mackyntoich and inscribed by Nest verch Tangwistel.
Item. Their Majesties then bade Þórlæifr hvítskegg tarry before the Court and summoned the Order of the Sagittarius to welcome the aforesaid Þórlæifr into their number, the which deed was recorded in a runestone carved by Kenric æt Essex; whereupon the good Master Phillip Reed, called the Facetious, released the said Þórlæifr from his bonds as Phillip’s yeoman.
Item. Their Majesties received oaths of fealty from Baron Alexander and Baroness Rhiannon of Settmour Swamp.
Item. Their Majesties caused those good gentles new to our Society to be brought before the Tyger Thrones, and did gift each with tokens of the day.
Item. Their Majesties summoned the children of the East Kingdom and shared with them toys donated by la Chambre des Dames d’Alisay.
Item. Their Majesties called into their august presence Diana Barr Thornguard and inducted her into the Order of the Tyger’s Cub, the which deed was memorialized in a document prepared by the said Diana’s mother Katherine Barr.
Item. Their Majesties summoned Katelin de Monro to appear before them and thereupon inducted her into the Order of the Tyger’s Cub, the which deed was memorialized in a document prepared by Leofric æt Cofentree.
Item. Their Majesties summoned before the Tyger Throne one Evan of Iron Bog and inducted him into the Order of the Tyger’s Cub, the which deed was memorialized in a document prepared by Vettorio Antonello.
Item. Their Majesties awarded Arms unto Sybil of Caer Adamant, the which deed was memorialized in a document calligraphed by Elsa de Lyon and illuminated by Lillian ate Valeye.
Item. Their Majesties summoned before the Court their subject Heinreich Wächter and thereupon awarded him Arms, the which deed was memorialized in a document calligraphed by Kayleigh McWhyte and illuminated by Agatha Wanderer.
Item. Lady Elizabet Marshall, Minister of Arts and Sciences of the Shire of Hartshorndale, presented herself before their Majesties and gifted her Majesty with favors created by the artisans of the Shire aforenamed.
Item. Their Majesties called into their presence Isabel Chamberlaine and, in recognition of her good works for the Kingdom, inducted her into the Order of the Silver Crescent, the which deed was memorialized in a document written by Alys Mackyntoich and inscribed by Chrestienne la pescheresse.
Item. Their Majesties demanded the presence of Martyn de Haliwell and, in acknowledgement of his skills in song, caused him to be inducted into the Order of the Troubador, the which deed was memorialized with the gift of a cup and a document prepared by Arden of Icombe.
Item. Their Majesties called before them Emily of Bhakail and thereupon awarded her Arms, the which deed was memorialized with a document written by Sabine de Kerbriant, Suba al-Hadid and Rowen Cloteworthy and inscribed by Wulfgar Silverbraid.
Item. Their Majesties summoned before the Tyger Thrones Baron Rowen Cloteworthy, Brigantia Principal Herald of the East, and, acknowledging his long years of service in the aforesaid office, thereupon accepted his tender of same; their Majesties then summoned Master Ryan McWhyte, who agreed to assume the aforesaid office and gave oath to their Majesties to the same effect.
Item. In acknowledgement of his services heraldic to the Kingdom, Master Ryan McWhyte, Brigantia Herald, created Rowen Cloteworthy a Herald Extraordinary and conveyed to the said Rowen the right to bear a personal heraldic title, the which deed was memorialized in a document created by Ryan McWhyte and Ekaterina Volkova.
Item. In acknowledgement of his work as Vox Regis Herald to several Kings and Queens of the East, their Majesties’ illustrious ancestors, their Majesties did endow Rowen Cloteworthy with a Royal Augmentation of Arms, the which deed was memorialized in a document written by Alys Mackyntoich and calligraphed by Kayleigh McWhyte.
Item. Their Majesties summoned before the Court the good lady Judith bas Rabbi Mendel and, in recognition of her work in the arts, did induct her into the Order of the Maunche, the which deed was memorialized in a document created by Violante de Rojas.
Item. Their Majesties, finding the Order of the Maunche yet incomplete, did then summon before the Tyger Thrones the good lady Adelisa Salternitana and inducted her into the Order aforenamed, the which deed was memorialized in a document written by Amy Webbe and calligraphed by Palotzi Marti.
Item. Their Majesties, finding the Order of the Maunche remaining even yet incomplete, called before them Ása in svarta and, praising her many skills, inducted the said Ása into the Order aforenamed, the which deed was memorialized in a document created by Katherine Stanhope.
Item. Their Majesties called before the Tyger Thrones Jenna Childersley, called Jenna Childslayer, and created her a member of the Order of the Troubador, the which deed was memorialized with the gift of a cup and a document created by Vettorio Antonello.
Item. Their Majesties called into the Court Brunissende Dragonette and, in recognition of her great labors on behalf of the Kingdom as Minister of Arts and Sciences and in other sundry and diverse matters, did induct her into the Order of the Pelican, the which deed was memorialized in a document written by Alys Mackyntoich, translated into Brunissende’s native tongue by Rhiannon the Curious, inscribed by Eva Woderose, and witnessed by heralds of note including Juliana Pelican Queen of Arms.
Item. Their Majesties demanded the presence of Colin MacKenzie and, the said Colin appearing before them, praised his good deeds and many labors in the matter of thrown weapons; their Majesties thereupon endowed the said Colin with a Grant of Arms, the which deed was memorialized in a document calligraphed by Jan Janowicz Bogdanski and illuminated by Safia al-Khansaa’.
Item. Their Majesties called into Court Marie de Blois, also known as Alia Marie de Blois and, in recognition of her valiant labors in matters of heraldry including her service as Palimsest Herald, did thereupon induct the said Marie into the Order of the Pelican, the which deed was memorialized in a document written by Alys Mackyntoich and inscribed by Eleanor Catlyng.
And I, Alys Mackyntoich, Vox Regis Herald, while all the foregoing was being so conducted and done, was present in person along with the belownamed witnesses, and I saw and heard these things done in this way, and have rendered them in this public form, and I signed it with my usual and customary sign, having been asked and required, in faith and testimony of all the foregoing.
