THE CHART:

Green – no losses

Red – 2 losses; out of the tournament

ROUND 1: Challenge-in
In fighting precedence order, the lowest precedence combatant selects an opponent from the top half of the precedence order, and so on until everyone is paired.

Reading the chart, the printed number is the combatant number. The first column is the combatant’s paired opponent’s number.

Combatant 46 (Zarya) selects combatant 7 (Ryou)
Combatant 45 (Tavish) selects combatant 3 (Zhigmun‘)

In the Round 1 column, next to the opponent’s number, the circled letter indicates whether the named combatant wins or loses to their numbered opponent.

Named combatant 1 (Valgard) fights combatant 26 (Albrecht) and wins
Named combatant 2 (Culann) fights combatant 40 (Thorvald) and wins.

STANDINGS AFTER ROUND 1: 23 combatants with no losses, 23 combatants with 1 loss

ROUND 2
After Round 1 is complete, all combatants with no losses are shuffled into a pile; and all combatants with 1 loss are shuffled into a separate pile.
Four members of the Order of the Rose are asked to randomly draw parings, matching combatants with no losses to one another, and then matching combatants with 1 loss to one another.
Combatants without a combatant match fight a destructive Buy fight.

Round 2 bouts are recorded in the same manner as Round 1.

STANDINGS AFTER ROUND 2: 11 combatants with no losses, 24 combatants with 1 loss, 11 combatants out of the tournament

ROUND 2A
Since the goal for the semi-finals is to have two combatants with no losses and 2 combatants with 1 loss, round 2A is to reduce the number of combatants in the 1-loss list.
As in round 2, our members of the Order of the Rose randomly draw parings for all combatants with 1 loss.
Combatants with no losses sit out this round.

Round 2A bouts are recorded.

STANDINGS AFTER ROUND 2A: 11 combatants with no losses, 12 combatants with 1 loss, 23 combatants out of the tournament

ROUND 3
Members of the Order of the Rose randomly pair combatants with no losses. The combatant with no pair (Combatant 1: Valgard) fights a destructive Buy fight.
Combatants with 1 loss are randomly paired, as above.

All bouts are fought and recorded.

STANDINGS AFTER ROUND 3: 6 combatants with no losses, 11 combatants with 1 loss, 29 combatants out of the tournament

ROUND 3A
Combatants with 1 loss are randomly paired. Combatant 3 (Zhigmun‘) is unpaired and fights a destructive Buy fight.
