Memorial Room at Coronation
At the request of the Baroness of Concordia of the Snows and the Princess of the East, I have accepted the challenge of creating and maintaining a remembrance room for all those we have lost. This room, which will be at Coronation next month, will be a welcome and safe space for any in the populace to come and visit with the word fame and memory of friends and family that live within our hearts.
In order for this to happen, I am reaching out to all within the arms of the East Kingdom’s embrace, to help me. This is no small feat, as COVID has separated us in ways we never could have imagined, so passing along this word would be of great help.
The desire for this memorial tribute is to be able to honor both the mundane and the SCAdian families we have lost during this long adventure with the virus, but we all know that there are many who are no longer with us. So although gathering information on our recent absent friends is my main focus, I want to make certain that all memories are able to be given proper tribute.
In as such, I hear someone may have run a similar form of tribute during EK 50, so if someone could put me in touch so that I am able to gather that information, I would be grateful. Beyond that, what I am looking for from those that are ready and able to share their memories (as much as one is comfortable sharing):
– a favorite photo of your loved one
– SCAdian and/or mundane name
– their arms, if you have them
– words in tribute
– a quote of theirs
Really and truly, anything you would like to share to help me make the proper tribute for them. Any and all information can be sent to katrusha.the.skomorokh@gmail.com
I will keep it all organized and will be accepting right up until the day before the event so I have time to work my magic as Their Excellency and Their Highnesses have envisioned. For any further questions or comments feel free to email or private message me. This post is public, so please feel free to share it to whatever venues it needs to arrive at to get the word out.
Yours in service,
Katrusha Skomorokha
