Gazette Nominated for Award!
In a missive from the Society Webminister, Baroness Alesone Gray of Cranlegh, we received the happy news that the East Kingdom Gazette has been nominated for a William Blackfox Web Award! Not only that, but our nomination has resulted in the creation of a new award category — Best Online Outreach.
Baroness Alesone explains that this new category “is for sites that communicate information on a regular basis to a wide audience. These can be sites that are affiliated with the SCA, but are not official entities of any kingdom.”
The William Blackfox Awards recognize excellence in the work of Chroniclers and newsletter contributors, and were extended in 2007 to recognize SCA Websites. Please visit the Newsletter Awards and Web Awards pages for more information. Anyone may nominate a newsletter or website by messaging the Society Chronicler or Webminister, respectively. Winners of these awards are announced in Tournaments Illuminated and other SCA publications.
Brilliant.
Can’t wait for the “sincerest forms of flattery” to follow.
