Their Royal Majesties Kenric and Avelina were gracious enough to allow their Excellencies Carolingia, Fergus and Imiglia an interval during Their court at this past weekend’s Crown Tournament to conduct some Baronial business. What follows is an unofficial report of the proceedings.

Lord Hugh Tauerner and Lady Ysane la Fileresse presented Their Excellencies with two hand-knit Baronial coronets in blue and gold to become part of the Carolingian Regalia. Their Excellencies immediately donned these new coronets and wore them for the rest of Court.

into the Baronial Order recognizing skill in the Arts and Sciences, the Order of the Moon.

The Baronial Service Order, the Order of the Daystar, was increased by four members as follows: Lord Hugh Tauerner, Don Donovan Shinnock, Lady Agnes Godolphin, and Baroness Imiglia Venture. This came as quite a surprise to Her Excellency who had only briefly been absent from the order meeting.

The Order of Perseus, a Carolingian Baronial Order recognizing martial prowess inducted Lord Thomas of Effingham and Baroness Brighid MacCumhal.

During a later session of Their Excellencies’ Court, Lord Kazimierz was recognized for becoming an Expert Thrower in the EK Thrown Weapons Royal Round.  Lord Kazimierz is the second thrower in the kingdom to have achieved that ranking.

The two photos credited to “Lord Hugh Tauerner” were indeed taken with Hugh’s camera, but not by Hugh. As he was in court at the time(s), he had handed the camera off to Lord Joel of Vestfell.

Indeed. Lord Joel was most kind in taking over my camera while I was in court. It would be most remiss of me not to ensure he gets credit for his work.

There was also a second session of Their Excellencies’ Court later in the Royal Court, in which Lord Kazimierz was recognized for becoming an Expert Thrower in the EK Thrown Weapons Royal Round; he’s only the second thrower in the kingdom to have achieved that ranking. — Edith Steyning, Barony TW Marshal, Carolingia
