Unofficial EK Court Report for St. Andrew Returns from the New World for the Baronial Investiture

In the forty-seventh year of the Society, upon 10 November, in the Barony of An Dubhaigeainn, Edward the King, second of that name, and Thyra the Queen, did enact and cause to be enacted the following:

Item.  Their Majesties accepted the fealty of Ateno and Lassair, venerable Baron and Baroness of An Dubhaigeainn.  Their Majesties then gave leave for the Baron and Baroness to conduct such business with their populace as they deemed fit.

Item.  Their Excellencies Ateno and Lassair, after many long years of serving the Barony, yielded up the Baronial Seats to their chosen successors.  Their Majesties, in due recognition of the said Ateno’s and the said Lassair’s worthy and notable service did thereupon elevate them to the status of Baron and Baroness of the Court.  The aforesaid deed was memorialized in a document authored by Sir Varus and inscribed by Carolyne de LaPointe and with the gift of a shield illuminated by Ro Honig von Sommerfeldt.

Item.  Their Majesties invested David Vázquez de Valençia as Baron of An Dubhaigeainn and charged him to defend and protect the aforesaid lands; in witness whereof they presented him with a document prepared by Violante de Rojas.

Item.  Their Majesties invested Suzanne Neuber de Londres as Baroness of An Dubhaigeainn and charged her to defend and protect the aforesaid lands; in witness whereof they presented her with a document prepared by Elsa de Lyon and Kayleigh McWhyte.

Item.  Their Majesties invited Duquessa Isabella of York to address the Court concerning the passing of Maestra Anna Bella di Cherubino.  The Court observed a moment of silence in Anna Bella’s honor.

Item.  Their Majesties caused those good gentles new to our Society to be brought before the Tyger Thrones, and did gift each with tokens of the day.

Item.  Their Majesties summoned the children of the East Kingdom and shared with them toys donated by la Chambre des Dames d’Alisay and sweets donated by Her Majesty.

Item.  Their Majesties summoned Rufus Von Heinz before the Tyger Throne and, in recognition of his good works, awarded him Arms, the which deed was memorialized in a document by Eowyn Eilonwy of Alewife Brook.

Item.  Their Majesties called Maggie Rue to stand before them and, praising her many skills, awarded her Arms, the which deed was memorialized in a document by Vettorio Antonello.

Item.  Their Majesties called before them the warrior Marcus Antonius Scaevola, known as the Defender of the West, and elevated him to the nobility with an Award of Arms, the which deed was memorialized in a document by Vettorio Antonello.

Item.  Their Majesties summoned before them Ealusaid inghean Uí Phaidín and, in acknowledgement of her service as Baronial Herald, awarded her Arms, the which deed was memorialized in a document by Kayleigh McWhyte.

Item.  Onóra inghean Uí Ruairc was summoned before the Tyger Throne and, in recognition of her many talents with pen and bow, was awarded Arms, the which deed was memorialized in a document by Lassair ingen Aeda.

Item.  Their Majesties called before them Ronan FitzRobert and Sláine baen Ronáin meic Robeird and, in witness of their many labors, awarded them Arms.  In memorial thereof, Sláine received a document by Constance de Saint Denis.

Item.  Their Majesties summoned into Court Magnus of the East and conveyed to him his long-awaited document memorializing his elevation to the nobility, the which document was created by Kayleigh McWhyte.

Item.  The Barony of An Dubhaigeainn presented Her Majesty with favors prepared by the hands of their artisans.

All these things were enacted upon the Feast of Saint Martin, in the presence and testimony of requested witnesses, namely Master Ryan McWhyte, Mistress Eva Woderose, Mistress Nest verch Tangwistel and many others, and Mistress Alys Mackyntoich, Their Majesties’ Herald, who as requested wrote this.
