Fall Feast of Simplefare (Updated)

October 31, 2012 by East Kingdom Gazette

UPDATE: the site was NOT affected by Hurricane Sandy. The Fall Feast of Simplefare will go on as scheduled. Please come and have a VERY good time!

Good gentles, this is a reminder that the annual Fall Feast of Simplefare will be held Saturday, November 3, 2012 in the Barony Beyond the Mountain.
During the day, there will be rattan and fencing tourneys outside on the lawn, and as usual, there will be board gaming and merchants inside.  A heraldic consultation table will be available for those who desire assistance with registrations.  There will be classes: Drop Spindle Spinning, Beginning Embroidery, Loud 101 – Beginning Tournament (and Court) Voice Heraldry, Heraldry (Arms and Devices) for the Totally Confused, Beginning Leatherwork, and Beginning Calligraphy.in in Manchester, CT.

The menu will be the traditional Simplefare feast of the last thirty years that you know and love — mustard soup, chicken, bratwurst, roedd groedd mit floedd (red berries with cream,) vegetables and desserts.  Mustard soup and roedd groedd mit floedd – what more needs to be said?  This is the feast they told you about when you first started.

The official event announcement can be found at http://eastkingdom.org/EventDetails.html?eid=2355.  The reservations deadline is coming up quickly – while seats *may* be available at the door, why take the chance of only being able to smell all that delectable food and not be able to taste?  You know you want to…

Reserve early, reserve often!  Join us for a day of fun and a harvest feast suitable to get you through the cold winter.
