An announcement from the kingdom Exchequer:

Greetings Fair Populace of the Kingdom of the East!

It has been my great pleasure to serve our Kingdom as the East Kingdom Exchequer over the last few years. It will soon be time to hand the reigns over to another, so we are now accepting Letters of Intent for the position of East Kingdom Exchequer through July 31, 2026.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Receive and disburse funds as approved by Kingdom and Society Financial Policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of the Kingdom assets and accounts (cash and non-cash).
  • Generate and submit required annual and quarterly financial reports.
  • Chair the East Kingdom Exchequer Council to approve the kingdom budgets, event bids and other financial matters.
  • Enlist and train regional deputies to assist in the duties of the Kingdom Exchequer.
  • Assist and manage Kingdom Deputies in their respective areas of expertise: Chamberlain, NMR, PayPal, Warrant Deputy, Pennsic Steward and others as needed.
  • Assist and manage the local Exchequers by providing guidance and training on all money-related activities.
  • Provide oversight on all local Book Reviews and Financial Policies.
  • Communicate frequently with Society Superiors to ensure that we are promoting and maintaining the nonprofit status of our organization.

Training will be provided.  Working knowledge of Excel is expected. Knowledge of Quickbooks is a plus. Applicants must be paid adult members in good standing of the SCA. The term of office is 2 years, with 2 possible 1-year extensions.
