Volunteers Needed for the Pennsic Children’s Fete
Good Gentles: it is a bare month until Pennsic and the Children’s Fete needs volunteers. Fete takes place the Wednesday of War Week – this year August 7th from 10am to 1pm, with an hour on either side for set up and clean up. In order to hold the Fete we need a minimum of 40 volunteers, for safety’s sake. There are only two weeks before I need to make that call. Please, even if you can only volunteer for an hour, it will help. I need people for all the stations, and although I am eternally grateful to those gentles who have signed up for registration, we need more people there. It is unfair to expect two people to process over 300 children and their parents. I am grateful beyond words to the wonderful people who have already volunteered, but safety first. Please, I don’t want to be the one to have to tell Their Majesties that the 25th Annual Children’s Fete can’t be held this year because we don’t have enough volunteers to run it safely. I beg of you, give your time for a few hours to make the children of the knowne world’s Pennsic a good one.
