Board Announces Selection of Communications Officer and New Board Member
On Thursday, June 7th the SCA, Inc. Board of Directors announced the following personnel updates:
The Board of Directors is pleased to announce the selection of Kelly Magill (Heather Shea) as Communications Officer for the Society for Creative Anachronism. Kelly Magill is the a Web Developer/ Human Resources Manager for North Bay Computer Services in Ontario, Canada.
Heather Shea is a former Kingdom Seneschal for the Kingdom of Ealdormere and will be working under the direction of the Society President.
The Communications Officer assists the President with the planning and execution of a variety of communications initiatives for both internal and external audiences. This position is responsible for writing, reviewing and editing media releases, newsletter stories, web content and other communications, as well as fact finding and verification for same.

The Board of Directors is pleased to announce the selection of Dan Watson (Bartholomew Hightower) as Director-Elect for Seat F for the Board of Directors of the Society for Creative Anachronism. Mr. Watson is an associate professor in Computer Science at Utah State University in Logan, Utah.
Bartholomew Hightower is a Knight from the Kingdom of Artemisia.
Mr. Watson will take his seat at the conclusion of the October 2018 quarterly meeting.
The Board of Directors of the SCA Inc. establishes the rules of the Society’s historical recreation activities and minimum administrative requirements for officers and branches. It is the final arbiter of the interpretations of these rules as made by the officers of the Society. Members of the SCA Board of Directors serve three-and-a-half year terms.
