Court Of Their Majesties Matthias And Æsa Feilinn
at Kingdom Arts & Sciences Champions Competition
In public consistory, at the time of the solemn and royal court held at Quintavia, a brilliant
assembly of dukes, counts and barons being in session, and a very great multitude of nobles and
commoners standing before the most serene lord Matthias, King of the East, and Æsa feilinn, the
Queen; for the purpose of exhibiting the fullness of justice to each person, the said king and the
said queen, according to law, did do and cause to be done the following:
Item: Upon convening Their Court in the morning in the hour following Terce, Their Majesties
summoned Caitilín ingen Donndubáin and endowed her with the Order of the Silver Wheel,
as attested in a document created by Saerlaith ingen Chennetig.
Item: The aforenamed Order being as of yet incomplete, Their Majesties called into their Court
the good Caitríona inghean Ui Shíodhacháin, whereupon they invested the said Caitríona with
the emblems of the Order of the Silver Wheel, as attested in document created by Camille des
Jardins.
Item: Lacking as of yet adequate membership in the Order of the Silver Wheel, Their
Majesties then called Lydia Webbe alias Lydia Katerin of Brus to stand before the Tyger
Thrones and be admitted into the aforesaid Order, as memorialized by a document created by
Octavia Valeria.
Item: In grateful acknowledgement of her service to their reign, Their Majesties endowed
Patience Faircloth with a Sovereign’s Award of Esteem and a Consort’s Award of Esteem.
Item: Their Majesties named Sugawara no Naeme an Artisan to the Crown for the generous
donation of talent and time given to the reign.
Item: Their Majesties named Simona bat Leon a Seamstress to the Crown.
Item: Their Majesties sent the said Simona forth to sit vigil to contemplate whether she would
join the Order of the Pelican.
Item: Their Majesties sent Keziah Planchet forth to sit vigil to contemplate whether she would
join the Order of the Laurel.
Item: Their Majesties sent Isabel del Okes forth to sit vigil to contemplate whether she would
join the Order of the Laurel.
Item: Dame Amalie von Hohensee announced the rules of the competition to chose the new Arts
& Sciences Champions.
Their Majesties then adjourned their Court until the hour of Nones, whereupon they held private
audience and did and caused to be done the following:
Item: Their Majesties, finding that membership in the Order of the Silver Wheel remained
incomplete, added the name of Gwenlliana Vachan to its ranks, as attested in a document
created by Caitríona inghean Ui Shíodhacháin.
Item: Their Majesties named Fastriðr Hroðgarsdottir a Seamstress to the Crown, and further
endowed the said Fastriðr with the Sovereign’s Award of Esteem in token of her good works for
the reign.
Whereupon Their Majesties adjourned Their Court until after the conclusion of the competition
to chose the Arts & Sciences Champions for the Kingdom, and re-convening at the hour of
Vespers, did and caused to be done the following:
Item: His Majesty thanked Cellach Dhonn inghean Mhic an Mhadaidh for her good service and
wisdom as Sovereign’s Arts & Sciences Champion and dismissed the said Cellach Dhonn from
the post.
Item: His Majesty named Nathan Hartman as the new Sovereign’s Arts & Sciences
Champion and invested him with the panoply of the office, the whole of which was attested in a
document created by Eamon Grey.
Item: Her Majesty thanked Culann mac Cianain for his good service and wisdom as the
Consort’s Arts & Sciences Champion and dismissed the said Culann from the post.
Item: Her Majesty named Charis Accipiter as the new Consort’s Arts & Sciences Champion
and invested her with the panoply of the office, the whole of which was attested in a document
created by Eamon Grey.
Item: Their Majesties endowed Liadan ingen Chineada with the Award of the Golden Lyre.
Item: Their Majesties summoned Avital of Carolingia to appear before the Tyger Thrones, and
the said Avital so appearing, Their Majesties invested her with the Order of the Tyger’s Cub, as
memorialized in a document written by Margreta Gyllenstierna, calligraphed by Tola knityr, and
illuminated by Leonete d’Angely.
Item: Their Majesties then called upon Emily Reinhartsdochter and bade her likewise join the
Order of the Tyger’s Cub, as attested in a document created by Rhonwen Glyn Conwy.
Item: The excellence and ferocity of the children of the East being boundless, Their Majesties
summoned forth Genevieve of Lochleven and likewise invested her with the Order of the
Tyger’s Cub, as memorialized in a document written by Solveig Bjarnardottir and calligraphed
and illuminated by Octavia Verita.
Item: Last but not least among the noble scions of the Tyger, Their Majesties called Sybil nyn
Joachim to appear before the Court and endowed her with membership in the Order of the
Tyger’s Cub, as attested in a document created by Aislinn Chiabach and Fiona the Volatile.
Item: Their Majesties charged Syr Culann mac Cianain with the running the Toybox to the
manifest delight of the children of the East.
Item: Their Majesties invited Julian Ridley to appear before them, whereupon they inducted the
said Julian into the Order of the Silver Wheel, as attested in a document written by Medhbh
inghean Ui Cheallaigh and calligraphed and illuminated by Aurelia Colleoni a’Buccaforno.
Item: Their Majesties summoned Gareth Lockwood to stand before the Court, whereupon they
awarded him Arms, as memorialized in a document created by Faolán an Screcain.
Item: Their Majesties called into the Court their subject Eseld an Goarnic and awarded them
Arms as well as inducting them into the Order of the Silver Brooch, as attested in a document
calligraphed by Æsa feilinn Jóssursdóttir and illuminated by Aibell Shulvane.
Item: The Order of the Silver Brooch being as of yet incomplete, Their Majesties summoned
Jódís Borsdóttir and endowed her with emblems of the said Order as well as Awarding her
Arms, as attested in a document written by Theodora Bryennissa and calligraphed and
illuminated by Wulfgar Silfraharr.
Item: Their Majesties called their servant Fearghus Mac Cailin to stand before them and
likewise invested him with the Order of the Silver Brooch, as attested in a document created by
Katherine Stanhope.
Item: Their thoughts turning from the gentle arts to matters martial, Their Majesties invited
Eamon Grey to stand before them, and the said Eamon so doing, they inducted him into the
Order of the Silver Tyger, as memorialized in a document created by Marcus Atilius Pansa.
Item: Their Majesties likewise invested and endowed Finan mac Bressail with the Order of
the Silver Tyger, as attested in a document written by Analeda Falconbridge and calligraphed
and illuminated by Lijsbet van Catwiic.
Item: Their Majesties called forth Pandaulf of Carolingia, and the said Pandaulf presenting
himself before the Tyger Thrones, whereupon they invested him with the Order of the Silver
Crescent, as memorialized in a document created by Ciaran ua Meic Thire.
Item: Their Majesties next summoned Gerhardt von Hohensee and caused his name to be
written upon the rolls of the Order of the Silver Crescent, as attested in a document created by
Nataliia Anastasiia Evgenova.
Item: Their Majesties welcomed newcomers to the Society with gifts of drinking vessels.
Item: Their Majesties commanded the presence of Katla of Viborg, and the said Katla so
appearing, they endowed her with the Order of the Maunche, all of which was memorialized in
a document created by Ranka Otsdotter.
Item: Their Majesties issued a Writ commanding Ástríðr Mus, also known as Ástríðr Musi, to
answer the question whether she would join the Order of the Laurel.
Item: Her Majesty endowed Olalla Tristana with the Consort’s Award of Esteem in token of
the said Olalla’s good work on the reign.
Item: His Majesty endowed Aine ingean Ui Tuathail with the Sovereign’s Award of Esteem in
thanks for the said Aine’s faithful labors in service of the reign.
Item: After taking testimony from certain notable Peers of the realm concerning the merits of
Keziah Planchet, Their Majesties invested and endowed the said Keziah with the Order of the
Laurel and Arms by Letters Patents, as attested in a document written by Matthias Grünewald,
calligraphed by Thyra Eriksdotter, and illuminated by Camille des Jardins & Collette d’Avignon.
Item: Their Majesties recognized Alanna of Skye has having achieved the rank of Expert
Thrower through prowess in the martial art of thrown weapons.
Item: The said Alanna of Skye being possessed of great prowess at the archery butts as well,
Their Majesties gifted and granted unto her the Order of the Sagittarius, as attested in a
document created by Edward Macguyver dos Scorpus.
Item: Her Majesty endowed Margreta Gyllenstierna with the Consort’s Cypher.
Item: Her Majesty endowed Leonete d’Angely with the Consort’s Cypher.
Item: Her Majesty invested Bianca Anguissola with the Consort’s Order of Courtesy.
Item: Her Majesty invested Catrin o’r Rhyd Fôr with the Consort’s Order of Courtesy.
Item: Their Majesties invited Durin Bastian to present himself before the Court, whereupon
they inducted him into the Order of the Golden Mantle, as attested in a document created by
Emeline la chauciere.
Item: Their Majesties took testimony in open Court concerning the manifold skills and good
countenance of Isabel del Okes, and finding the said Isabel to be worthy, Their Majesties then
invested and endowed her with the Order of the Laurel and Arms by Letters Patents, the
whole of which is attested in a document written by Anges Marie de Calais, illuminated by Fiona
O'Maille, and calligraphed by Faolán an Sccreccain.
Item: Having heard testimony from notable Peers of the Realm concerning the merits and good
works of Simona bat Leon, and the said Simona having sat vigil and taken counsel of the great
and the good, Their Majesties inducted her into the Order of the Pelican and gifted her Arms
by Letters Patents, as attested in a document created by Gundormr Dengir, Thyra Eiriksdottir,
and Lily Morgaine.
We do hereby bear witness and upon the strength of our signatures confirm that the aforesaid was
done upon 2 March, being the feast of Saint Chad, in the 58 th year of the Society.
