Northern Region Arts and Sciences Championship
Did you know that the Northern Region holds an annual(ish) regional A&S championship competition? Well, we do! This year, the competition will be hosted by the Shire of Hadchester in Union, ME, on June 4th at A&S On A Summer’s Day.
Our current Northern Region A&S Champion, THL Alexander Clarke, has been hard at work devising and coordinating a competition appropriate for this year. In order to accommodate varying degrees of comfort with in-person events, this competition will have an online option and an in-person option. The details as we currently know them are as follows:
Competition Rules:
Step Outside – As in Step Outside your Comfort Zone.
Like the flowers in spring, true growth comes from breaking through new ground. Therefore, the only requirement for this year’s Northern Region A&S Championship is that it you try something outside your norm, out of your comfort zone. Whether is be a new technique, a new style, a new stitch, or a completely new project – anything is fair game!

A&S Display and Judging to take place the week prior to the week of the In-Person event.
-Online, The week of May 22-28, where entries and displays will need to be submitted by May 23rdth in order for them to be presented online and for judging sessions to be scheduled.
-In-Person, Saturday, June 4th, 2022 from 10am to 4pm
