Unofficial Court Report of the Last Court of Edward II and Thyra I
The Court of our most excellent prince and lord, Edward II, by right of arms most illustrious King of the East, and Thyra, his Queen by that same right, held at the Barony of Carillion, upon the last day before the ending of the world and the return of the King who was dead; on which day were called all and sundry the lords of the realm and the great men of the kingdom to hear the following publicly proclaimed:
Item. Their Majesties summoned Nest verch Tangwistel and Ygraine of Kellswood before the Tyger Thrones and, in recognition of their services, appointed them both as Jewelers to the Crown. Her Majesty the Queen did further convey to the said Nest and the said Ygraine her Queen’s Cyphers in thanks for their labors and kindnesses.
Item. Her Majesty proclaimed to the assemblage that Marguerite inghean Lachlainn was to be endowed and invested with the token of the Queen’s Honor of Distinction for her good advice, counsel and wisdom during the reign.
Item. Their Majesties caused Christoff Gockerhan von Loch to be summoned into the Court and thereupon invested him with a King’s Cypher and a Queen’s Cypher for his many and valued labors on their behalf, and further granted him the rights of free passage upon the roads of the East Kingdom with all such wagons, carts and sundry conveyances as may be necessary for his continued livelihood, the
which grant was confirmed in document created by Alys Mackyntoich and Eva Woderose.
Item. His Majesty proclaimed to the assemblage that Cezilia Raposa was to be endowed and invested with a King’s Cypher in gratitude for her loyal and faithful service.
Item. His Majesty summoned Aife ingen Chocnchobair in Derthaige before the Court and invested her with the King’s Cypher in acknowledgment of her skills and wisdom, and further granted her safe passage throughout the lands of the East Kingdom, the which grant was confirmed in a document created by Alys Mackyntoich and Edward MacGyver dos Scorpus.
Item. His Majesty caused to be summoned before the Court Godefroy de Falaise and invested the said Godefroy with his King’s Esteem of Merit for his work as herald and translator.
Item. His Majesty proclaimed that Eularia Trewe was to be endowed with his King’s Esteem of Merit for her work as a court herald for the Crown.
Item. His Majesty caused Ryan MacWhyte to be invested and endowed with his King’s Cypher in gratitude for his work as a court herald for the Crown and as Brigantia Herald.
Item. His Majesty called Kayleigh MacWhyte before the Court and invested her with his King’s Cypher in recognition of her great labors on behalf of the Crown as Tyger Signet of the Signet.
Item. His Majesty summoned Alys Mackyntoich before the Tyger Thrones and invested her with his King’s Cypher in gratitude for her labors as Vox Regis Herald and Eastern Crown Herald.
Item. Their Majesties called their servant Lachlan Graheme before the Court and much praised his notable works on their behalf, in recognition whereof, they created him a Baron of their Court, the which deed was memorialized in a document created by Constance de St. Denis and Harold von Auerbach.
Item. Master Anton of Winteroak and Mistress Xandra Rozina Xiberras Galea approached Their Majesties to warn of impending danger, portents and ill omens that might bring their reign to a close.
Item. Their Majesties caused Jozef Ludwiczak and Xandra Rozina Xiberras Galea to be acclaimed as Jewelers to the Crown. Her Majesty then invested the said Jozef with her Queen’s Honor of Distinction.
Item. Her Majesty called into the Court her Champion Avaldr Valbjarnarson and, praising his wisdom, courtesy and noble bearing, invested him with her Queen’s Order of Courtesy, the which deed was memorialized in a document authored by Aife ingen Chonchobair in Derthaige and Magnus hvalmagi,
calligraphed by Anna Mickel von Salm and illuminated by Camille des Jardins.
Item. Their Majesties summoned Caitriona of Greenwood Isle before them and appointed her a Seamstress to the Crown; Her Majesty then further invested the said Caitriona with a Queen’s Cypher in acknowledgement of her manifold useful labors for the Crown.
Item. Their Majesties acknowledged Cassandra Grey of Lochleven, Gwenlliana Vachan, Tola knyttr, Darerca ni Dhonndubhain and Constance de Saint Denis as Seamstresses to the Crown.
Item. Their Majesties called before them Cassandra Grey of Lochleven and, praising her many virtues, great patience, manifold labors and good counsel to the Queen did invest her with a Queen’s Order of Courtesy, the which deed was memorialized in a document authored by Eva Woderose and calligraphed and illuminated by Palotzi Marti; and the King did further endow her with the King’s Cypher and grant
her rights to free use of royal cloth and clothing stores for the term of her life, the which grant was memorialized in a document created by Alys Mackyntoich and Edward MacGyver dos Scorpos.
Item. Their Majesties commanded the presence of Matthias Grunewald, whereupon, in gratitude for his manifold services and support, they created him a Baron of the Court and Granted him Arms, the which deed was memorialized in a document authored by Mylisant Grey, illuminated by Ro Honig von Sommerfeld and calligraphed by Eleanor Catlyng.
Item. A from the Company of Saint Adrian approached their Majesties, among them a mysterious cloaked figure who revealed himself to be Gregor von Heisler, once King of the East, who was believed to have perished cruelly while abroad; the said Gregor announced his intention to reclaim his throne;
whereupon Their Majesties Edward and Thyra agreed to seek advice as to the righteousness of his claim and attend upon him further.
Item. Her Majesty called Mael Eoin mac Echuid before the thrones and thereupon presented him with the Queen’s Order of Courtesy, the which deed was memorialized in a document created by Chrestienne la pescheresse.
Item. He Majesty commanded the presence of Aesa Feilinn Josursdottir and thereupon, in recognition of her manifold good services to the Crown, endowed her with a Queen’s Cypher.
Item. He Majesty caused Ellisif Veymundarsdottir to be brought before the thrones and thereupon, in recognition of her labors and good counsel to the Crown, endowed her with a Queen’s Cypher.
Item. Her Majesty summoned Sergei Rozvad syn into the Court and endowed him with the Queen’s Cypher in acknowledgement of his innumerable good works for the Crown; and she did further grant him a ship and license to undertake explorations, the which grant was confirmed in a document created
by Alys Mackyntoich and Eva Woderose.
Item. Her Majesty called into the Court Simon Gwyn and invested and endowed him with her Queen’s Cypher by virtue of the numerous labors done by him for the benefit of the Crown, and did further issue unto the said Simon a pardon for all crimes committed against the English language within the Realm,
the which grant was confirmed in a document created by Alys Mackyntoich and Eva Woderose.
Item. His Majesty caused Nathaniel Wyatt and Donovan Shinnock to be brought before him, and, in gratitude for their service and their counsel to him in matters touching upon the arts martial, endowed them with the King’s Esteem of Merit.
Item. Their Majesties summoned Mechtild Welandstochter before the Tyger Thrones and, in praise of her great, notable and renowned service and labors on their behalf, appointed her a Seamstress to the Crown, invested her with a Queen’s Honor of Distinction and a King’s Cypher.
Item. His Majesty commanded into the presence Samuel of Lochleven and, in gratitude for his good service and uncounted labors for the Crown, endowed him with a King’s Cypher.
Item. Her Majesty caused Chiara di Marte da Venezia to be brought before the Tyger Thrones and thereupon endowed and invested her with the Queen’s Cypher in gratitude for the diligent work and good counsel provided by the said Chiara.
Item. His Majesty granted Eoghan Bastard mac Lachlainn free usage of Crown lands for the raising of sheep, the which usage was to be guaranteed by the provision of mutton for the Royal tables, the which grant was confirmed in a document created by Alys Mackyntoich and Edward MacGyver dos Scorpos,
and further invested and endowed the said Eoghan with a King’s Cypher in recognition of his services to the Crown.
Item. Their Majesties commanded the presence of Eva Woderose before the Court and much praised her exceptional and noteworthy service as Royal Secretary, in recognition whereof they invested her as a Baroness of the Court, the which deed was memorialized in a document authored by Alys Mackyntoich and calligraphed by Rhonwen glyn Conwy.
Item. Their Majesties brought before the Court their servant Clarice of Lochleven and lauded her worthy and notable service as Royal Secretary, in grateful acknowledgement whereof, they created her a Baroness of the Court and granted her arms, the which deed was memorialized in a document calligraphed by Constance de St. Denis and illuminated by Anne Marie Heather Hall.
Whereupon, in due course, observing the signs and portents foretold to them, Their Majesties acknowledged that Gregor had true right to the Tyger Throne and that they needs must step aside, and dispatched Mistress Hedewigis, the Seneschale, Master Ryan, Brigantia Herald, and Sir Oskgar, Earl Marshal, to bring Gregor and his Queen into the Court.
Whereupon, Her Majesty dismissed her Guard with gratitude and thanks for their service.
Whereupon, Their Majesties relinquished the Crown of the East to Gregor and Kiena, rightful inheritors, bringing to an end their splendid and bountiful reign.
I, Alys Mackyntoich, Herald to Their Majesties Edward and Thyra, wrote this to memorialize and make certain all such things that were done and caused to be done upon 6 April in the forty-seventh year of the Society at the Coronation of their Heirs in the Barony of Carillion.
